I would be the first person to rave about ICOM radios as I've been using them ever since I first got my ham license back in 1995. The radios are so sophisticated nowadays that you can connect them to a computer and use software to operate most, if not all of the controls on the radio. For somebody like myself who has no hand or finger movement being able to use a computer to do things like adjusting the volume, RF power, squelch has made my life so much easier. I no longer need to worry about putting extensions onto the knobs on the radio in order for me to use my HF equipment. Some of the other radio manufacturers such as Yaesu and Kenwood have developed their own rig control software. However, for some reason, ICOM has not developed any software whatsoever. Therefore, I have to rely on using Ham Radio Deluxe to operate my ICOM 7800.

In August 2016 I decided to have my garden pond revamped. It was dug out nearly 15 years ago and hasn't really been looked after very well and gradually the garden is taking the pond back. So after doing a search on the Internet, I contacted a local Aquatics company called Richards Aquatics who had several aquatic shops plus a pond building business. Richard Muggeridge of Richards Aquatics visited me to survey my current pond in order to get an idea of what could be done and how much it would cost. He got back to me via email pretty quickly with the quote of £2600 to which I was quite happy to accept. He asked for £1300 as a down payment which I did think was quite a lot of money for a deposit but unwittingly accepted to and transferred the money into his bank account.

I have created these leaflets which are A5 in size (half the size of an A4 piece of paper) that you can put under the wipers of drivers who block pavements with their motor vehicles.

The World Lottery Club website enables UK residents to take part in various lotteries around the club. Some of these lotteries include Australian and American Powerball, Irish lotteries, lotteries from Spain, Poland. and also Europe's own Euromillions. I just happened to stumble across their website when going to sign into the national lottery to play my own ticket. They were offering two lines for £2 instead of two lines for £5. Now I'm not stupid and I pretty much worked out straightaway that this was not going an ongoing off, more an enticement to get you onto their website and get hold of your payment details. Anyway, I joined up and opted to play 2 lines on Euromillions, basically because the jackpot was reaching an excess of £100 million that week. Normally, I play one line on Euro millions every week. I think it's something like 1 in 140 million chance of winning the Euromillions so there's no way I'm going to chuck loads of money into it each week.
