| Help and Accompany a Disabled Brixham Sea Angler to Go Fishing |
|
Hi there, Are you a keen sea angler living in Torbay or the surrounding area? Would you like to accompany me on a sea fishing trip? If you haven't read anything on my website so far then I live in Brixham and basically, I'm looking for more people who can help me go fishing, especially sea fishing. I have people who can go carp fishing with me, I just need more people who can help me go fishing in the sea. I absolutely adore sea fishing it is something that I actually mess a lot, don't get me wrong, carp fishing is a great love of mine, but there's nothing quite like going down to the sea on a warm summers day and soak up all that lovely sunshine whilst waiting for your float to go under. I have all my own sea fishing tackle and my own transport. The biggest drawback with wanting to fish in the sea is actually finding somewhere that is suitable. As a kid, I would clamber around on the rocks, go on the beaches, basically go anywhere that is totally inaccessible to me nowadays. Having said this, there are still quite a few places around the Torbay area that I can fish with ease. Brixham breakwater is ideal for the disabled angler, I fish that quite a lot over the years and really enjoy spending a few hours there. I haven't been to Berry Head in a number of years and I actually believe this will be inaccessible to me now. I used to fish right opposite Brixham fish market, however since they have altered radically it's not possible to fish there. One of the easiest and accessible places to go is Oxon Cove, right in front of the factory. I am able to park my van and basically fish on the stone walkway. Goodrington promenade is also accessible and I can fish all the way along. I'm able to raise the seat on my wheelchair so I can cast over the railings. I haven't ventured much outside Torbay apart from Teignmouth, however I'm willing to travel a little further afield if need be. My needs are very basic, I just need someone to put my rod together and strap it to my arm, if need be tackle up for me and obviously bait up. I'm more than capable of casting for myself and reeling in, I just need someone to get me started and obviously deal with any fish I may catch. I can provide any bait necessary for a good session so please don't think you will be out of pocket. If you think you can help me then please contact me via telephone, or drop me an e-mail (01803) 882769 This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
