The Hare and Hounds Kingskerswell

Some friends and I visited the Hare and Hounds in Kingskerswell recently to have an evening meal. The Hare and Hounds have various disabled parking spaces which gives plenty of access from your vehicle. Access to the Hare and Hounds via wheelchair is made easy via gently sloping concrete ramps. We booked a table prior to our arrival and were shown to our table as soon as we entered the building. We decided on a carvery since I heard heard very good reports about it. Within five minutes of us arriving, we were at the carvery choosing our food. Everybody was clean and tidy and the food looked great (especially the pork with its lovely crackling). Being the greedy bugger I am, I decided to have a selection of all meats available. This was Turkey, pork and beef. There was a huge variety of vegetables available and you could have as much as your plate could hold, so I did. I had sprouts, carrots, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese, stuffing and all the trimmings. There was absolutely nothing I could fault about the meal, it was absolutely delicious. I was given a very generous helping of meat with lots of gravy to go with it. All the vegetables were cooked to perfection. Nothing was mushy, all nice and crisp. For pudding, I chose Blackberry and apple pie with clotted cream, which once again, was absolutely delicious. After tucking away that huge carvery, I'm not sure how I managed to eat this huge piece of apple pie, it was absolutely lovely and I could have eaten it again, so I did (only joking)

The carvery was £9.75 and well where every mouthful. Service was excellent and the premises lovely and warm and decorated very nicely for Christmas. All in all, an extremely enjoyable couple of hours. I will certainly be going back for more. But, don't take my word for it, go and check it out yourself, I guarantee you won't be disappointed

So remember, the Hare and hounds for a superb carvery. Turn left at the bottom of Hamlyn Way, the Hare and Hounds approximately 500 yards on the right
