Oscar Fish Forum | Keeping Oscars

I have been keeping the Oscar Fish for a number of years now. To this day, I still remember the first time I ever saw an Oscar fish. In fact, it was two 5 inch Oscar fish in the local fish shop. Looking out of the tank with their funny little faces, opening and closing their mouths and getting very excited when anybody went near the tank. I instantly fell in love with them there and then. It must have been about a month later when I bought my first tank, a Trigon 350 (75 gallon ) Unfortunately, the two Oscar fish I had seen were no longer there so I bought a red and a tiger Oscar. I unwittingly also bought six tiger barbs. I would like to add that I no longer have these barbs, and they didn't die of old age, need I say more. It took less than a year for me to realise that 75 gallons was not going to be big enough for these fast-growing fish. I then went and purchased my 125 gallon tank which I am still using now.

Oscars are intelligent, fun fish to own. They give me a great deal of pleasure, although they are high maintenance fish. I run another website which is dedicated to keeping and caring for Oscars. If you are interested in visiting this site, please use the link below to navigate to my Oscar fish website. There is a chat room and forum on oscarfishlover as well

I joined quite a lot of different oscar fish forums and websites over the years. Then I felt that I had  built up enough knowledge to start my own website. Follow the link below to see how this website and forum has grown over the last year. We have well over 1000 members now and can offer you lots of information and help on keeping and caring for the Oscar fish
