Churston Traditional Farm Shop

Located just outside Brixham near Galmpton, the Churston traditional farm shop sells various local food and fish. I paid my first visit there on Saturday the 23rd of February. Even though it wasn't quite as big as I thought it was going to be, I was pleasantly surprised with the different types of food they have. I was especially impressed by the meat counter. All locally farmed were displayed nicely. I purchased some pork chops and some belly pork. The difference between the stuff they sell there and what you buy at the local supermarkets is quite noticeable. I thought it looked a lot fresher and healthier. I paid around £6 for four pork chops. Believe me, these I'm not small pork chops either. The same goes for the belly pork, these were man sized pieces.

They have quite a nice selection of fresh vegetables available as well. Brixhamcatch also have a fish counter that sound nothing but Brixham fresh fish. Enough of me going on about how good this places, go and visit it for yourself, I promise you won't be disappointed. And lastly, check the delicatessen counter out, absolutely gorgeous food available. You must taste the pickled garlic, is so delicious. £1.60 per 100 g, and that's quite a large pot. You will eat them likes sweeties, I promise you. You won't even mind having breath like a demon, that is how good they areTongue out

Finally, I have got to mention the fresh bread they sell. I've never tasted bread like it, the sandwich I had was to die for. Freshly baked on that day as well, it was still warm when I bought it.
