Ricon remote control handset definitely not disabled friendly

Ricon remote control

I thought I would mention the hand remote control that is used with the Ricon lift. The remote control is approximately half the size of a television remote control. The buttons are probably around the same size as well. I have been disabled to over 20 years and have learnt to cope quite well without any finger movement. I can use the television remote control okay, I can turn pages on the book, turn on switchers such as lights, computer controls, plug sockets, kettle switches and the oven control just to mention a few. However, the most difficult control of all to use is the one that came with the Ricon lift. Surely this isn't right? Television remote controls, most light switches, computer controls are not made for disabled people, yet I don't really have a problem using them. Ricon manufacture products that are purely for disabled people. Why on earth haven't they made a remote control unit that is easy to use by people with limited finger movement?
