Police have teamed up with a council to carry out bin searches in a bid to find fresh clues in their hunt for missing schoolgirl Shannon Matthews.
About 50 officers specially trained in search tactics are scouring bins in the area near her West Yorkshire home as the inquiry moved into its seventh day.
Kirklees Council said waste teams were accompanying police and emptying the bins after checks had been made.
Shannon Matthews failed to return to her home in Dewsbury Moor on Tuesday.
