With the greatest respect to any Americans that may be reading this thread but I am getting totally fed up with American news always coming first on our BBC news. I'm well aware that history will be madeif this colored chap is sworn in as president, I actually hope he is. However, I want to know what's going on in my own country first, thank you very much.
You can bet your bottom dollar that British news doesn't come first on CNN

being British and living in the US, I would eat a black pudding supper dipped in chocalate just to watch old "aunties" news bulletin. There is no real news here..i know how frustrating it is though.

I know what you mean Paul. I have spoken with people in the United States before. At the moment, we are hearing a lot from the States which is understandable, the financial crisis over there does affect us here. However, when it's just trivial news being broadcast before our own news, that's when I get angry.
I don't know why the news broadcasters think we are so interesting about everything that goes on in the US.
